Practicing a no-information diet is a method of controlling what you consume in order to maintain your mental health. It’s about managing your habits so you consume information in a mindful way. Saving your mental calories for something more important and avoiding what doesn’t concern you.
You can do this by turning off the notifications on your devices. Make sure you’re not overly tempted to binge on useless information. It’s like having junk food littered all across your house and then saying oh I have the self-control to not eat the junk food. But it’s a hell of a lot easier to just not have the junk food in your house altogether.
