Conflict exists in all relationships. But do you know that conflicts can somehow create opportunities for you and your partner to align on values and embrace each other’s differences?
In this episode of the Happy Hustle Podcast, I have my beautiful fiance’ Steph on the show to talk about overcoming adversity in relationships.
We don’t claim to have all the answers but here are some strategies that worked for us in healthily handling conflict.
1) Take time to breathe and settle. Don’t respond out of emotion but instead use logic.
2) Empathize and understand the other’s perspective. Release blame and shame.
3) Unite as a team and create a plan to overcome. (Trigger words, bear talks, love calendar)
Every relationship has ups and downs, but having good communication can make it easier to deal with conflict and build a stronger, healthier relationship.
Remember, always welcome the conflict as an opportunity for relationship growth.
